Sapanca Guide (the "Site", https://sapancaguide.com/) is a guide and directory platform that brings together information about accommodation businesses (hotels, bungalows, villas), restaurants and activity providers in the Sapanca region. The Site is operated by GEZİVALİZİ TURİZM SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, a travel agency licensed by TÜRSAB (the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies). This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used and shared when you visit or use the Site, and what rights you have.
This policy has been prepared within the framework of Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). For detailed and official information on the identity of the data controller, the purposes of processing and your rights, please refer to the KVKK Disclosure Notice (available in Turkish only); in the event of any conflict between this policy and the KVKK Disclosure Notice, the KVKK Disclosure Notice prevails.
The Site does not currently run any analytics or tracking software (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Pixel).
The Site displays a cookie consent banner and your preferences are stored in the sg_cookie_consent cookie. Cookies fall into three categories:

Where your data is transferred abroad (because our hosting provider is based in Germany and due to the WhatsApp/Meta infrastructure), such transfer is carried out in line with the safeguards set out in Article 9 of the KVKK.
Technical and administrative measures such as HTTPS/TLS encryption, access control and regular backups are applied to protect your personal data.
Contact form requests are retained for a reasonable period after they are answered; your newsletter subscription record is retained until you unsubscribe. Server access logs are kept for a limited period. Longer retention periods required by legislation (e.g. record-keeping obligations relating to TÜRSAB-licensed agency activity) are reserved.
Under Article 11 of the KVKK you have the right to apply to the data controller to learn whether your personal data is being processed; to request information if it has been processed; to learn the purpose of processing; to know the third parties to whom it has been transferred in Türkiye or abroad; to request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly; to request its erasure or destruction under Article 7 of the KVKK; to request that such actions be notified to the third parties to whom the data was transferred; to object to a result reached to your detriment through automated analysis; and to claim compensation for damages suffered as a result of unlawful processing.

The Site is not directed at persons under the age of 18 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
The Site is also offered in English and Arabic. Requests from visitors accessing the Site from abroad are handled in accordance with the principles set out in this Privacy Policy.
